 MERYL® NEXTEN
THE ULTRALIGHT MICROFIBER

Meryl® Nexten is a hollow polyamide fibre, unique to Meryl Fiber®. The air included into the filament allows the production of either lighter fabrics, or more insulating and protective fabrics with the same weight, insuring the body wellness.
In comparison to an equivalent full polyamide, Meryl® Nexten thanks to the hollow inside the fibre is 25% lighter with the same thickness and opacity. And in comparison to polyester, Meryl® Nexten is 40% lighter. In blend with other fibres, natural or synthetic, the products realised with Meryl® Nexten provide a wide performances spectrum.
Due to the empty space inside the filaments, Meryl® Nexten offers greater insulation and more homogeneous protection (+15% insulation according to ISO 11092 c/o - IFTH Lyon).
Meryl® Nexten dries very quickly. It is labelised Öko-tex 100.
It exists in full drawn textured yarns : 60 dtex / 30 filaments, with the thickness and opacity of the 78 dtex.
And Air Jet yarns: 140 dtex / 60 filaments, (equivalent to the thickness / opacity of the 180 dtex).
